Before disposing of any lab equipment, follow these steps:
The Compliance Team must be consulted first for guidance on decontamination, safe removal, and legal disposal requirements.
All equipment must be decontaminated before disposal (Follow Decontamination Guidance).
Lab Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is often hazardous waste and must be segregated and disposed of properly (Refer to WEEEs Waste Management Guidance Note).
The Compliance Team will assist researchers throughout the disposal process.
