The Materials Engineering Society is about bringing together education and industry. Throughout each term we host industry visits, South Wales Materials Association lectures, and of course socials to give people a chance to get to know students from all year groups.
We also help provide opportunities outside of university by helping run trips such as trips to the Physics Nuclear Laboratory in Geneva and also summer placements and STEM activities.
The Swansea Women in Engineering Society is a student-led society that is part of both the Students' Union and the international Women in Engineering Society. We have lots of socials and events with one of our main aims of networking and connecting engineers while socialising and enjoying being a student at Swansea. All Engineering students are welcome to join, both male and female. We work closely with the College Peer Mentor scheme to support females engineers.
So make the most of your time at Swansea and join us!
Being a part of the Swansea University Race Engineering team provides a unique opportunity for students of all courses to participate in the entire lifecycle of an engineering project: from the initial design concepts, building and testing, to the penultimate moment- racing the car. Join us to make lifelong friendships and gain invaluable hands-on experience and connections for a bright future after university.
