Car parking

Bay Campus & Singleton Park Campus

In line with the University's Sustainability Strategy, there is no parking for cars and motorcycles on campus for students between the hours of 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday, except for permit holders. Please visit the Travelling by Car webpage for further information.

Beck House

Car parking on-site is free of charge for residents, 24 hours a day.
Parking is at your own risk and Swansea University assumes no liability for loss or damage to parked vehicles.

Beck House residents are eligible for one parking permit each, which operates in conjunction with the length of accommodation contract.

Residents may register their vehicle and collect a parking permit from Beck House Reception.

All vehicles parked in the Beck House car park must display a valid parking permit at all times.

Users parking at Beck House are required to comply with the directions of staff, who have strict instructions to prohibit entry of any vehicle without a parking permit, even if the driver is known to be an authorised user.

Any unauthorised vehicle parked on University property, or any authorised vehicle parked in an unauthorised place, shall have a warning placed on it, or will be clamped, or removed by authorised staff of the University.

Any change of vehicle will require a replacement permit, which can be issued at Beck House Reception.

true student

Limited guest car parking spaces are available at true Swansea. The parking bays are strictly for those who have reserved them in advance for the academic year, and any enquiries should be addressed with the team at true.

The nearest public car park is High Street multi storey, located next to the Train Station on Ivey Place, SA1 1NU.

Bicycles

Residents who bring bicycles must keep them in the cycle racks and shelters provided.
At Singleton Park Campus, enclosed bike shelters are accessible with a code from Preseli Reception.

Bicycles must not be brought into the buildings at any time and should be securely locked with a good quality D-lock within the bicycle shelters. All bicycles are left entirely at the owners’ own risk. All bicycles must be removed from the bicycle shelters at the end of your accommodation contract.

If you don’t have your own bike, you can hire one of our Swansea University Cycles. It’s a fun, affordable and sustainable way to get around Swansea.

The National Cycle Route 4 links the two Campuses and in particular a dedicated cycle entrance onto the campuses. It takes just 25-30 minutes to cycle between the two campuses and only around 15 minutes from the city centre.
