The Bigger Picture Festival – Celebrating Faith and Culture in our Community
The Bigger Picture Festival is a celebration of the diverse array of cultures in Swansea, aiming to educate those who take an interest in broadening their horizons. In an environment that encourages equality, diversity and inclusivity, the Bigger Picture Festival promotes freedom and opportunity to staff and students to share, explore, question and understand the varied faiths and cultures that are represented in the campus community and beyond.
Swansea University is home to people from over 120 different nations and many different faiths and beliefs. The Bigger Picture gives us a chance to engage, learn and contribute from others; as well as trying some fantastic food!
Get involved
The Bigger Picture Festival is shaped by the students who take part, and we need your help to make this year's event a success. Whether you'd like to get involved on your own, alongside a friend, or as part of a student society, there are plenty of opportunities to contribute and help celebrate the diverse cultures, experiences and stories within our community.
We'd love to hear how you'd like to take part. If you're interested in getting involved, please get in touch with us at student-engagement@swansea.ac.uk to find out more.
Photo Competition
The Bigger Picture Festival Photo Competition is back for another year! As this festival is all about you, we want to celebrate the people, places, traditions and experiences that make up our diverse community. Whether it's a snapshot of everyday life, a special family moment, a landscape from your home country, or an image that reflects your culture and identity, we would love to see what matters most to you.
Photography has the power to tell stories, spark conversations and help us learn more about one another. Share a photo that captures what home means to you, highlights your heritage, or showcases the people and memories that have shaped your journey. Click through for full details on how to enter and for your chance to have your work featured as part of this year's festival.
