Welcome Week for September 2025 will take place from 22nd– 26th September 2025, with a range of events taking place each day. Effort should be made by you to attend all events listed within the below timetable.
Events are a chance to gain insight to your chosen degree programme, ask questions and get to know both staff and students in your department. We look forward to meeting you!

This timeable is relevant for those beginning Year 0 (Foundation) or Year 1 in Chemistry.
Monday 22nd September
10:00 - 16:00 - Year 0 & 1 Welcome Talk - 344, Grove Building
Meet your student course mates for the first time along with Academic staff from your department who will introduce your programme of study, provide you with key academic information and direct you to useful course resources.
Friday 26th September
13:00- 16:00 - Year 1 Lab Induction - 344, Grove Building
A Lab induction for all Year 1 Chemistry students.
16:00 - 18:00 - All Undergraduate Student Social - with the Chemistry Society - B, Fulton House
Meet up with all Chemistry students for a quiz, with a chance to meet higher level students.
