Welcome to the Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law

We look forward to meeting you in Welcome Week! There is a varied programme of events throughout the week, which we hope will inform and motivate you as you begin your studies with us. You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to socialise with your coursemates and learn about all the support available to you.

Your Welcome Week timetable is below; please make every effort to attend the sessions marked compulsory and get involved in as many of the other activities as possible!

Please also take note of sessions that are only for specific groups of students e.g., some are for LLB Law and Criminology students only etc.

Please take note that your teaching timetable is different to the Welcome Week timetable below. Learning and teaching begins on Monday 29th September and you will find out how to access your teaching timetable during Welcome Week.

Monday 22nd September

10:00am-12:00pm  Programme Welcome Session **Compulsory** (Faraday Lecture Theatre, First Floor, Faraday Building)

Meet your Programme Director and other key academic staff, who will introduce your programme of study, provide key academic information and direct you to course resources. You will be introduced to this year’s School Student Reps, and members of our Student Societies. 

 

 

12:00-1:00pm OR 1:00-2:00pm Meet Your Coursemates Social (Richard Price Lecture Theatre and Atrium, Ground Floor, Richard Price Building)

Get to know your new coursemates and lecturers .

12:00-1:00pm OR 1:00-2:00pm Workshop 1: Welcome to Swansea University: Expectations & Building Resilience (See locations and groups below) **Compulsory**

The transition from college/sixth form to university can be extremely daunting! This informative session will explain our expectations and provide an overview of how to manage your time, build resilience, obtain essential university information and communicate with others. The session will explain the teaching, learning and assessment process and include interactive activities to ensure understanding
