American Studies

What’s Ahead in Year 2 History and American Studies

Thursday 24th September, 10am-11am

History, American Studies and Classics All Years Activities: SANDCASTLES SOCIAL

Thursday 24th September, 2-4pm

Wales is home to more castles per square mile (*) than anywhere on the planet. So what better thing for the History, Heritage, and Classics department to do on a sandy beach than to have a sandcastle building competition?! Join us to meet other students and lecturers and recreate some historic buildings in sand. Buckets, spades will be supplied, but please bring your own drinks. We’ll be on the beach immediately in front of the Swansea Cenotaph, and will return to Singleton Campus.

  • Suitable footwear and outdoor gear is advised.
  • Sandcastle building is not compulsory.
  • This event is open to ALL students and staff in the Department of History, Heritage, and Classics, at ALL levels of study.

In case of inclement weather, our alternative location will be the in Fulton House Lecture Rooms A & B
