Residential Life Coordinators (RLCs)
Residential Life Coordinators (RLCs) are responsible for the wellbeing of students living on campus, here to support students pastorally, logistically, or assisting in general queries to help them find their way as they transition to university life.
RLCs will identify and engage with vulnerable students who may be experiencing difficulties in university to help welcome and ease them into the university student community.
RLCs are also responsible for overseeing and coordinating the development and activities led by Residential Life Assistants, delivering training and supervision to ensure they are also able to support students.
Residential Life Assistants (RLAs)
Residential Life Assistants are students who work alongside the Residential Life Coordinators with experience living on campus to help create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community in our residences. They are here to help students feel at home, make connections, and get the most out of the university experience.
As part of the Residential Life Team, RLAs help plan and deliver a wide range of events - such as gatherings and community-building activities.
Most importantly, RLAs are a friendly, consistent presence in your accommodation. Whether you’re looking for someone to chat with, want to get involved in activities, or simply need a bit of support settling in, RLAs are a supportive presence to turn to.
RLAs would be available in our reception in the Tower Information Centre or in the Gryffudd Common room for a chat, tea, coffee and activities. Do come say hi!
